Key #2 -The Key of Prayer

Matthew 7:7: “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

Prayer is the language of dependence. Every time that you bow your head and lift your heart to God in prayer, you are acknowledging that you are no longer in control. To pray is to surrender to God. You surrender the outcome to Him.  This means that whether the answer is yes, no, or wait, our trust continues in Jesus. No matter the outcome, we surrender.

Notice that Jesus’ promise to “ask, seek, and knock” is a divine progression. They are steps moving us closer to an answer. When we ask, it aligns our desire with His. When we seek, it engages the focus of our pursuit, and when we knock, it demonstrates persistence. What many don’t realize is that the greatest reward in prayer isn’t what we get, but rather the relationship with the One who answers, reveals, and opens the door. 

Heaven responds to a heart that refuses to give up in prayer. Sometimes the door doesn’t open immediately because God is aligning His timing and our character. Yet, He never ignores a consistent knock. Elijah prayed seven times before the rain came. Daniel prayed for twenty-one days before the answer arrived. The persistent widow asked until the unjust judge responded. And it’s comforting to know that we are not asking an unfair judge, but rather a loving, caring, and compassionate God. The One who can open the heavens, and the One who can shut the mouths of lions. So, keep on praying and don’t give up; the Lord is forming your heart, He is working on your situation, and on your spirit. Follow the instructions of the Prophet Elijah in 1 Kings 18:43 while you pray, pray, and look, then go again until you see the rain clouds.

Llave #2: La Llave de la Oración

Mateo 7:7 -Pedid, y se os dará; buscad, y hallaréis; llamad, y se os abrirá.

La oración es el lenguaje de la dependencia. Cada vez que inclinas la cabeza y elevas tu corazón a Dios en oración, estás reconociendo que ya no tienes el control. Orar es rendirse a Dios. Le entregas el resultado a Él.  Esto significa que, ya sea que la respuesta sea sí, no, o espera, nuestra confianza continúa en Jesús. Sin importar el resultado, nos rendimos.

Observa que la promesa de Jesús de pedir, buscar y llamar es una progresión divina. Son pasos que nos acercan a una respuesta. Cuando pedimos, alineamos nuestro deseo con el Suyo. Cuando buscamos, nos centramos en nuestra búsqueda, y cuando llamamos, demostramos persistencia. Lo que muchos no se dan cuenta es que la mayor recompensa en la oración no es lo que obtenemos, sino la relación con Aquel que responde, revela y abre la puerta.

El cielo responde a un corazón que se niega a rendirse en la oración. A veces, la puerta no se abre de inmediato porque Dios está alineando Su tiempo y nuestro carácter. Sin embargo, Él nunca ignora cuando tocamos la puerta constante. Elías oró siete veces antes de que llegara la lluvia. Daniel oró durante veintiún días antes de que llegara la respuesta. La viuda persistente pidió hasta que el juez injusto respondió. Y es hermoso saber que no estamos pidiendo a un juez injusto, sino a un Dios amoroso, bondadoso y compasivo. El que puede abrir los cielos y el que puede cerrar las bocas de los leones. Así que sigue orando, no te rindas; el Señor está formando tu corazón, está trabajando en tu situación y en tu espíritu. Sigue las instrucciones del profeta Elías en 1 Reyes 18:43 mientras oras, ora y mira, luego vuelve a hacerlo hasta que veas las nubes de lluvia.
